Hi, I'm thinking of buying a new trailer for my car but I'm not sure of the quality of the product I'm considering - it's not NZ made.

Does the AA provide engineering assessments for trailers to help me to understand if the quality is good enough?

Thanks

If you are concerned about the build quality of the trailer then it's best to walk away from the deal.

From my experience the New Zealand made trailers are far superior; the build quality, material thickness and galvanising. But there will always be differing opinions.

We do not offer this type of service however a safe bet is to buy from an established trailer manufacturer that can offer at least a 1 to 2 year warranty on workmanship and materials.

You get what you pay - rather pay a little more for something decent.
