Transmission will not hold on medium grade hills in any gear.
On light slope it will hold except for 2nd.
Can this problem be adjusted or is it beginning of major repair.
Operation of the trans is OK in all other respects.
Auto trans was rebuilt about 50k ago by Honda.
Mileage now at 213k.

When you say it will not hold, we're not sure whether you mean that it rolls backwards if left idling in gear on a hill, or the transmission will not hold gear when accelerating up hill.
Either way, either of these things may be completely normal, depending on the incline, especially given that the transmission operates fine in other respects.
If you are unsure, we suggest you call in to a transimssion repairer and take them for a run in the car to give you an opinion.

Sorry, it is when car is idling in gear on incline. Thanks for comment.

In that case, I really suspect it may be normal, as cars of this era did not have features such as hill hold that we see on many newer cars. However, it would still pay to have it checked out.
