My car recently has a "depollution system fault" message and losses power on slight uphill run. It did kangaroo jump from start at traffic light.
What could be the problem?
How long will it take to find out the problem by a computer scan at AA service centre and cost ?
Thank you

The vehicle will need to be connected to a diagnostic computer to read the fault codes and then the technician will need to diagnose further. It’s impossible for any technician to quote you on the repair or even how long it will take to diagnose the cause without having a look at the vehicle.

You will need to take the vehicle to a workshop and pay for diagnosis and repair.

If it is a petrol model it could be a fault with one of the exhaust oxygen sensors, or even another injection related fault, and if the vehicle is a diesel model the exhaust particulate filter might need to be force regenerated (you will need to change the engine oil and filter too).

Firstly, book the vehicle into a repair workshop for a diagnosis.
