there is a very noticeable vibration at low speeds. it happens when braking and turning at the same time, both in forward and reverse motion. it has traction control, cruise control and tiptronic.

I took it to my mechanic who couldn't pinpoint the problem but he adjusted a belt by the front right wheel. it seems to have gotten worse.

I notice that the front tyres are worn on the outside. would it be the wheel alignment?

Vibrations can occur for various reasons such as worn suspension bushes, warped brake rotors, steering problems, unevenly worn or unbalanced tyres as well as worn cv joints (especially the inner cv).

If your mechanic cannot pin point the fault its best you take it elsewhere for a second opinion as it might be something serious that may need immediate attention.

Slight wear on the outside of the front tyres are usually normal cornering wear but if there is a significant difference you should get it checked out. Ask a mechanic to have a look and advise.
