2004 maxima , passenger back door shut, wont open. electrics all working can not remove inside panel. where to from here? panel beater not sure what todo. fixit man on net says you have to cut hole in inside panel !! boho. Nissan franchise don't know. please advise regards Garry Klenner.

These problems can be a challenge, but I would have thought a good mechanic could find a way in. There's no correct answer here because it depends on the exact fault, but it shouldn't be too difficult to "break in" to the passenger's door with the correct tools and a bit of know-how. You may need to remove the seat first if getting in through the inside is the only option.
I'm surprised the franchise dealer can't find a way in. I'm sure if you book the car in with them, they'll be able to gain access - however, like us, they won't be able to tell you over the phone how to get in (if that's what you've been asking).
Regarding cutting a hole in the trim panel, this would be an absolute last resort and it shouldn't come to that. However, if you think you'll neet to resort to those measures, try to find a good used panel at the right price first.

I once had a similar problem,fixed it by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes reconnected and bingo,problem solved.Might be worth a shot?
