Hi sometimes my car is not moving forward when it is in D,S,2,or 3 but when I change the gear to R and change it back to one of the above it starts moving again for a while. It doesn't shift up either. I have to rev really high (around 4000) to get the gear changed and now it doesn't do that either. The whole car start vibrating around 2000rpm. Also it makes a humming sound when I try to accelerate whether its on gear or not. Is something wrong with my transmission or differential? Please help. Thank you.

This is a transmission problem and needs to be looked at by a transmission specialist asap. To avoid doing any further damage, the car should not be driven.
