Hi

I have got an automatic 2004 Toyota Corolla Fielder X that has done 57,000kms so far. I went to Supercheap auto and they recommended a Castrol Edge Titanium 5W-40 Fully Synthetic Oil. My work colleagues have told me that this is a very low grade oil for my car. I am now confused so could you please advise the most suitable oil grade for my car. I have checked the Caltex and the Castrol but I cannot find my car model in the the list provided.

Kind Regards

Jitendra

This oil is too high a grade for your Corolla Fielder, not too low. Something like a Castrol Magnatec 10w-40 would be perfectly fine for this car - you do not need a fully synthetic oil, which is a lot more expensive.
Your car is basically just a 1.8 litre Corolla, which you can find on the Castrol website.
