Hi,

I have a '96 Corolla and I think it's idle speed could do with a bit of adjustment.

When the engine is cold it idles fine but as soon as it has been driven around and has warmed up it is idling quite high, about 1500rpm.

Is there an easy way to turn it back a bit and more so without affecting the cold idle speed?

Regards,
Robert

It's best not to try make any adjustments to try compensate for another fault. The best option is to take the vehicle to a mechanic to get a fault diagnosis. It could be a faulty coolant temperature sensor, a vacuum leak or a sticky throttle body that's causing your problems.
