Our Mazda 3 GLX 2.0 Auto has Manual options with +/- besides it. I hardly use it during
normal driving in city or town conditions. Recently we went on a trip and part of the terrain was very winding uphill roads, i could kinda feel the car struggling a bit.
Appreciate advise on driving under such conditions(steep uphill/downhill) & whether to use the manual mode on these.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
The Manual options very rarely get used. I would use it on hills up or down, when you want to hold a gear. Or basically be in control of the shifts.
As sometimes when driving up hills, you just want the gear held a little longer to make it up without struggling.
Just try it and see if it works better for you.
