At the WOF inspection of my Renault Scenic it failed because it needed replacement front brake pads. The Service Brake Readings are LF280 RF300; LR180 RR200. It looks like the service brake performance passed. So why do I need new brake pads? Thanks.

Visual brake condition and performance are two different checks.
The fact that you still have a small amount of brake pad still there, will give you a pass brake performance test.
But on a visual inspection, you need to have some brake material visable, and if this can't be determined. The wof will fail and evidence of brake condition proof needed.
and this may be why the brake pads failed.
Sorry had to ammend the information, as the wof inspectors can't pre empt.
