My 1994 Suzuki Escudo has started to drip oil, at this stage it isn't a large amount but annoying on the driveway - and really isn't worth spending alot of money on it. What are your thoughts on using an oil additive such as Stop Leak or could this cause more problems than it solves?

Hi there,
I personally don't like the stop leak additive priciple. I effect you are increasing the thickness of the oil in order to slow the leak. This can cause damage to other componants that require the oil to be thin for lubrication.
You could change the oil type to maybe a slighly thicker grade, example switch from 10w30 to a 15w40. Or find the location of the leak, it may be worthwhile repairing.
