car is 1998 Hyundai Lantra, 200,000 ks
Car runs fine around town but accelerating on the open road often creates blue smoke. Car is not worth an expensive repair, is there any easy check to verify where the oil leak is when engine under stress and and necessary repairs.
Not sure what to do with this car, do you think a wrecker would buy it for parts

Hi there,
It does sound like the engine could be worn out. I wouyld still take it to a mechanic to make sure an engine breather is not blocked, or engine oil incorrect or overfill ect.
A engine rebuild or replacement will be costly and may not be worth it.
A wrecker should buy it for scrap, there are lots to choose from and even better if you can drive the car to them.
