I bought the 2010 Lexus IS250 a few month ago, it seemed all good when i driving, and the alarm worked very well, but two weeks ago, there seemed to be an alarm issue, after i locked the car, the alarm sounds, i don't know why the alarm sounds, the only thing i think might set off the alarm would be a cat, the cat is always walking around the car, is it possible the alarm is set off by the cat? or it's the key issue or something else?
Thanks
Penny

Hi there,
If the alarm has a sensitive motion sensor it may be set off by the cat.
However most alarms have the ability to diagnose and see what set it off, by the amount of light flashes, or alarm chirps ect. This will pinpoint what is triggering it.
I recommend to take it to a Lexus dealer for them to check it out, especially to make sure all the interior lights don't stay on and all doors are closing correctly.
