Squeaky noise like and old steel-wheel wheelbarrow coming from rear of car. Starts when car first moves then fades out. Have had all brakes done within the last 8 months. Car is a Diamante ES 2004.

Hi There,
There are a few possible causes for this type of noise. One could be the handbrake shoes adjusted quite tight and making noises when cold but not very common.
Another could be the rough brake disc not totally bedded into the new rear pads and the friction causes noisese when cold, or some cheaper brakle pad material is just a little noisey until warm. Or it could be just cleaning the rust off the discs from overnight condensation. It doesn't sound serious but if you are concerned, get it checked out for piece of mind.
