We were involved in an accident, we were not at fault, but our car has sustained damage to its body. The car is NZ new (3 weeks old) and driven less than 1,000km. The car currently retails for $38,999. In NZ what can we expect to be the value that we've lost as a result of the accident? The car will be repaired through insurance.

Hi there,
There is no calculation available to account for an accident.
As part of the repair, the vehicle should be restored back to "factory" condition and so should not be reduced in value in any way.
It would be a different story if the vehicle had been written-off, it would carry that information for life.
