  • What happens if I am having issues with my eDrive code?

    Once registered, eDrive codes are valid for 28 days before they expire. If you do not complete at least five modules at a minimum of 80% before your code expires you will need to contact your course tutor or call us on 0800 223 106 for assistance.

    If you are having issues logging in, you may have incorrectly registered your email or have not yet registered. Please contact support@edrive.co.nz with your eDrive code to have your email address corrected.

  • What does being ‘Unable to Work’ mean?

    Unable to Work means you cannot perform your Usual Occupation for 10 or more hours per week.  This must be based on medical advice, including the opinion of your registered doctor, or another registered doctor approved by us.

    In order to be considered Unable to Work you must also be following the advice of a registered doctor on an ongoing basis, including recommended treatment and rehabilitation.

  • Why do we stop the benefit payment at age 65?

    Age 65 is the official retirement age in New Zealand.  From age 65, kiwis receive a pension to help with their living expenses, so for Living Expenses Cover it is a logical point to stop cover.

  • If I live out of the city area can I travel to the city for the free driving lessons?

    Yes, as long as you can meet the Instructor at the selected AA Centre, this is unlikely to be a problem.

  • Is this a salaried position?

    This is a self-employed role where you will be operating under a licensee arrangement, you will see more detailed information in the pack we provide.

  • What are the costs associated with this opportunity?

    These costs are outlined in the information pack we send out.

  • Who can book training via Driver Training for Fleets & Businesses?

    Companies or individuals who drive a company vehicle and need to complete training as a requirement for their company.   Private individuals need to book via the online booking system for Assessments and public Defensive Driving for Experienced Drivers (DDED).

  • Do participants need to have their full New Zealand Driver Licence?

    As long as your drivers have a full Driver Licence you can book training today. International Licences are fine providing they are converted into English.

  • What takes place during the In-vehicle session of the Defensive Driving Course (DDC)?

    The In-vehicle session requires you to demonstrate the techniques discussed in the classroom and focuses on assessing you for the next licence test that you are preparing for (Restricted/Full).

  • What happens if my car needs additional work from the service?

    If during the service or repair the technician uncovers the need for additional work our AA Auto Centre will contact you to discuss the findings, provide you with an estimate and ask if you would like to proceed with the recommendations.
