- AA Members save 50 cents per litre when you purchase a Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy
- AA Smartfuel cardholders (non AA Members) save 25 cents per litre when you purchase a Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy
When you buy a second-hand car, make sure you're covered for unforeseen mechanical breakdowns with a twelve month AA MBI policy from as little as $49.90 per month* (10 payments).
Right now, you can save 50 cent per litres on fuel when you purchase your AA MBI with AA Smartfuel.
Most second hand cars are outside the manufacturer's warranty period. Like anything complex, cars can break down from time to time and their mechanical components can be expensive to replace.
AA Mechanical Breakdown Insurance provides:
If your car has a mechanical breakdown while covered by AA MBI, you also receive a quality guarantee for all repairs authorised and carried out under the policy and replacement of consumable items if they are required because of actual failure of mechanical or electrical componentry covered by the policy.
Please note: pre-existing faults aren't covered by AA MBI.
