About our Tradespeople

Stephen - Master Multitasker

Tell us something about yourself. Your background, passion etc

I was originally a coach builder in the early days, building motorhomes and caravans. That is what has given me the skills to run the business and do the job of being a Handyman. I had built my own home in the early ninety’s. I was also an Aircraft certification engineer for 31 years, since then retired. My hobbies include mountain biking, I really enjoy camping and have a large caravan which I used to travel a lot in the country, and we love sailing. I have a good engineering workshop at home where I spend most of my time.

How long you have been in this business? When did you join AA Home Book a job?

I have been in the business since just after covid, I had lost my job as an engineer and decided to start a Handyman business called Master Multitasker. I joined AA Home Book a Job in 2022

How has business been since your company became a contractor with AA Home?

I haven’t done much work lately, but it has been busier, and AA Home is just one of my many businesses I service. Doing work for AA Home is great, you meet a lot of different people.

Describe a typical day on the job?

A typical day, I start around 9:30am and finish between 3pm or 4pm. I get jobs where I fix jammed windows, put in new lock, and fix doors etc. But it does quiet down in the winter season.

Give us some story / experience that you cherish…

I got a phone call from a lady who was desperate for me to come and help save her cat that was stuck around the back of the toes space under the sink unit, the cat got in behind the oven. Was difficult to try and get it out and once it was out, I tried to catch it and it went back behind the oven and got stuck again. The job took 2 hours, but I managed to free the cat again and I had to make it cat safe, so it will not get stuck again. It was a funny experience I had thought I would ever get a job like that.
