Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as amended or modified from time to time.
The promotion is being run by AA Directions (the “Promoter”, “us”, “our”, “we”).
The promotion starts at 12.00am 18 March 2024 NZST and ends 11.59pm 31 May 2024 NZST (“Promotional Period”).
Eligibility
Entry is only open to AA Members/ New Zealand Residents aged 18 and over. District Councillors, directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. For this purpose, NZAA includes The New Zealand Automobile Association Incorporated, any division, subsidiary, third party under applicable contract, or joint venture companies. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
Entry requirements
To submit an entry, eligible entrants must send their details using the entry form on aadirections.co.nz. Email entries will not be accepted.
Only one entry per person will be accepted. Multiple entries are not permitted.
Entries that are incomplete, incorrect or illegible will be deemed invalid.
The promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The Prize
The prize consists of a two-night stay at Tatapouri Bay accommodation, a Dive Tatapouri stingray experience for two people, a Gisborne Railbike Adventure for two people and a $50 voucher to spend at Matawhero Vineyard. (“Prize”).
Prize does not include travel to or from Gisborne.
The Prize winner is responsible for any travel or meal costs associated with the Prize.
Prize cannot be redeemed between 1 December 2024 and 31 January 2025, or on any New Zealand public holiday.
Prize is valid for one year from the date of issue.
To participate in the Gisborne Railbike Adventure participants must be aged 18 or over.
Prize is subject to availability.
Prize must be taken as offered and cannot be redeemed for cash and is neither transferable nor exchangeable, except at the promoter’s sole discretion.
By accepting the prize, you agree to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable marketing activities relating to the prize including but not limited to being interviewed or photographed. We reserve the right to use your comments, image and name for advertising and publicity purposes in any media, including but not limited to national newspapers, magazines, radio, television and the World Wide Web, in perpetuity without compensation.
The winner agrees to hold the promoter, its directors, officers, employees and assignees harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of the use of their prize. The winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by the use or redemption of their prize.
The promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
Prize fulfilment
The Prize winners will be notified within four days of the draw by phone or email.
The day of the draw will be 5 June 2024. (“Draw Date”).
If a winner is under the age of 18 on the Draw Date, their prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian.
If a winner decides not to accept a prize, the prize will be forfeited and a further draw will be conducted from the remaining entries. The prize cannot be transferred to another person.
A prize, or any unused portion of a prize, cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. All other expenses associated with the prizes are the responsibility of the winners.
If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact a winner by 5 calendar days after the Draw Date, or a winner is disqualified in accordance with these terms and conditions, then their prize is forfeited.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner’s name will be published on the AA Directions website.

By entering this promotion, you agree that we may use the personal information we collect from you:
To conduct this promotion, including determining and notifying the winners and disclosing that information to the prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities; and
For future marketing purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy
General
We reserve the right, at any time, and in our sole discretion to
request entrants to provide proof of identity and/or proof of valid entry
disqualify any entrant who we have reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct or any conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.
If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
Entries are accepted at the time of receipt by us. We will not be held liable for any entries not received for any reason during the promotion period.
We are not liable for any prize that may be lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way after it leaves our possession.
We are not responsible for any variation in the value of a prize.
If for any reason, we are not able to conduct the promotion as planned, including due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, any technical difficulties or any other causes beyond our control, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, we reserve the right in our sole discretion to take any action that may be available.
To the extent permitted by law the Promoter:
excludes all warranties in relation to the quality, suitability or merchantability of a prize;
limits its liability, and that of its employees or agents, for breach of any rights a consumer may have to the payment of the costs of having the prize supplied again;
will not be liable for any loss (including indirect and consequential loss) or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the promotion including the supply of goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s), and where applicable to any persons accompanying the prize winner(s).
