AA Motorcycle Training is proud to deliver the ACC Ride Forever programme

From learning how to stay safe on your daily commute to practicing advanced riding techniques, there's a Ride Forever course that will suit you. Ride Forever courses also support NZTA's Competency-based Training and Assessment requirements for licensing.

PLEASE NOTE: AA Motorcycle Training currently offers Ride Forever training in Waikato, Wellington, Manawatu-Wanganui, Otago and Southland. We are expanding and will be offering Ride Forever training in other locations throughout New Zealand over time.

If you're new to riding a motorcycle or scooter, mostly ride in an urban environment, and want to boost early skills and commute safely, these half-day courses are for you. 

This full-day course is ideal for riders on a Learner licence or those on a Class 6 Restricted licence riding LAMS-approved machines. Ideal for assisting riders on a Restricted licence reach their full licence or as a skills refresher for returning riders. Ideal for experienced riders looking to hone specific technical aspects of riding and riding styles. Groups can determine their own course content for the day. 

What you'll get out of it

Skills and knowledge to deal confidently with urban traffic flows and riding situations. Understanding of road positioning to better see and be seen. Improved braking skills. More competence and confidence to enjoy riding more.

What you'll get out of it

A sound understanding of road positioning: to better see and be seen, and its importance in cornering. Improved skills in low-speed maneuvering and braking. Understanding the right speed and gear for any riding situation.

What you'll get out of it

Key vision skills like vanishing points and looking through corners. Improved ability to identify and avoid hazards. Better understanding of the bike's capabilities including tyre grip. How to enter, apex and exit precisely, and use bodyweight for stability.

What you'll get out of it

The flexibility of the Gold course means the outcomes will relate to your needs. Typical areas of focus include riding in groups, riding with a pillion, counter steering, trail braking and advanced cornering.

This is for someone who has been on a bike before but not confident. Training followed by the assessment.
