With your personal AA Membership it doesn't matter what car you're in. And it doesn't matter whether you're the driver or the passenger. Your AA Membership covers you, not the vehicle.

Membership benefits

AA Membership entitles you to six free calls each year including:

  • Testing your battery
  • Jump-starting your vehicle
  • Organising a replacement battery if necessary*
  • Getting access to your vehicle if you're locked out
  • Changing your wheel
  • Free delivery of fuel if you run out (you pay for the fuel)
  • Free temporary side glass replacement*
  • Organising a windscreen chip or crack repair*

From the time of joining as a standard Member, except if you join at the roadside, there's a 24 hour stand down period.

*Note: Service available in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and most provincial areas.

Personal Membership

We have three Membership options to choose from:

  • Individual Membership
    This is the standard option.
  • Associate Membership
    Discount available if your spouse/partner is already an   AA Member and living at the same address as you.
  • Youth Membership
    Discounts available for youth aged up to, and including, 17 years.

Pricing varies with where you live in New Zealand and the type of Membership you choose. You'll receive discounts based on the number of years you've been a Member of the AA.

You can also top up your Personal Membership

  • AA Plus
    This gives you additional benefits that are well worth having if you travel out of town often - or for the occasional trip.
  • AA Motorhome Plus
    This will give you road service assistance and other extra benefits when you're travelling in your motorhome or travel out of town often - even if you just take the occasional trip.
