When we brought our 2000 Toyota Prado it just had a couple of plain keys. Will this vehicle have originally had a remote key and if so, how do we get one?

It may depend on whether the vehicle is NZ new or a used import. Best you take the Prado into your local Toyota Dealer and let them have a look.
