Is it up to the retail outlets to ask if you have a AA rewards card?

We would like to think so, but it doesn’t hurt to be proactive and tell the retailer prior to, or during the sale process.

Thanks for that, I often forget to use my card, or who the retailers are. must be more proactive as you say, will start taking the list of retailers with me just incase :)
