I would like to get a hayes wprkshop manual for my car so I no how to do basic servcies to it and pin point when something is wrong.

One problem-theve recently stopped publsihing the exact one for my car (which is 1990-2003) mazda 323/protoge.

Technically my car is a 1999 mazda familia with a 1.5 vvti engine, and there are two manuals which come close:
-1990-1996 ford lazer/mazda 323
or
-2004-2012 mazda 3/axela

Which is the best bet?

Neither of these would be suitable - especially not the Mazda3 manual. The Mazda 323/Protoge 1990-2003 manual is currently available on Trade Me.
