Hi, I'm looking to purchase a 2005 Toyota Corolla/Allex 1.5L. Engine type 1NZ-FE .Can you please tell me if it would be a CVT type transmission or a standard one? I've heard that CVT ones are to be avoided pre 2009. Thanks.

I believe that this vehicle should have a 4 speed automatic transmission however, it would be wise to confirm this with Toyota before the purchase. I haven't herd any negative things about Toyota CVT transmissions.
