I currently drive a Toyota Rav 2 door. It is the perfect size for my small garage and tight drive and it is a great height and has great storage/boot room - easy to get stuff in and out. But it is a 1994 model and although I haven't had any big problems yet, I realise I need to start looking for a replacement.
Problem is I have no interest in cars except to get me from A-B. So any recommendations on vehicles that would similarly fit the things I like best about my Rav would be much appreciated... so at least I have a starting point for my research.
Oh there was a mechanic once who told me that newer cars have 'chain drives' and they last better than the cam belts - so any hints like that would be appreciated too.
Would prefer a later model vehicle, but not more than about $20k.
Thank you.
Suzuki Vitara and S-Cross Offer vehicles that are similar in size and space to the older RAV4 However if this is out of your budget something like Mid 2000 + Honda CRV or RAV4 may suit you better.
Safety features and comfort have increased a lot since 1994 you are in for a treat.
Thank you. I hadn't even thought of Suzuki, so I will check them out. I gather they are a good make?
I have been looking for another Rav - but I have not seen a two door anywhere of late.
Thanks again
