I can't generate any interest in the sale of my 2004 model van done 139000 km and in really nice condition It has been listed three times in Trade Me starting at $9800 and reducing to $8600 with not the slightest interest shown. My experience with it has been excellent and it drives beautifully. My question is can you tell me of any good reason for the lack of interest with thi model. Surely can't be the price? Can you help please

Look at it this way, if you were selling a Toyota Hilux done 200K plus, it would have sold by now and you probably would have got more money for it that you ever thought possible.

It’s all about the brand and unfortunately in your case you are trying to sell something that people don’t want or don’t know a lot about and are therefore very nervous about buying. These vehicles simply do not attract a lot of interest second hand.

Kia has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years with every new model hugely improved over past efforts. A 2004 Pregio never set the world on fire when new, so second hand that trend will continue.

All you can do is promote, as best you can, your past experience with this vehicle. My research would suggest the price is right so I guess it’s all about trying to attract interest and buyer attention.

Maybe you can seek some help from family/friends in trying to word any future advertising in a different way.

Many thanks jbiddle

Yes, I take on board what you say and will promote the sale in a different style and see what happens. A shame that it would be twice the price if it was a Toyota!
