Im looking at a 2013 Yeti and a 2011 x-trail. Any thoughts on reliability, performance or economy appreciated. Vehicle will commute a sealed but very winding hill. It will also need to perform well on gravel, a bit of mud, ice and light snow

The Nissan X-trail would probably attract less servicing costs but I think the Yetis performance would out do the X-trail on the mud and snot particularly if the yeti is the 4x4 diesel, note the 1.4 yeti is only two wheel drive.
