I am in the process of purchasing a Mazda Verisa 2004 - all seems well with the car but I read the following on the internet:
"This is currently the biggest vehicle recall of the automaker on record in Japan. Mazda will recall 287,987 Demio and Verisa compact models produced between June 2003 and July 2006. ... She said that the company's previously recorded recall was for 162,405 vehicles which were in March of 2004".
The article was not dated but I noted a similar question to the AA back in May 2018.
Is this something I should be worried about pre purchase ??

You can enquire if your vehicle is effected by calling Mazda or using their website, before purchasing the vehicle you will need the vehicles chassis number to investigate this.
