Hi, is it worth keeping an lpg factory dedicated vehicle in this day and age?
It’s a great clean burning fuel but I’m afraid that lpg vehicles and also the specially trained mechanics for lpg vehicles in NZ are going to become extinct.
I’m in Whangarei and now have to travel to Auckland to get any gas related issues remedied. Plus most lpg parts are having to come from Australia. I don’t do a great amount of mileage but I love driving a big car. It’s only a 6 cylinder but it’s got heaps of power and the lpg is only $1.13 per litre with a fuel card.
I hope you can shed some light on this for me please.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I think the writing may be on the wall for LPG in NZ has it gets harder to service the systems. I can't say how long it will be available for vehicle supply, but with EV technology increasing and the price decreasing it might be pushing out LPG.
