My car recently failed the WOF because of visibly worn brake pads and rotors, not the operation. I have had these changed. When I go for my recheck can the inspector insist on re testing the performance of the brakes or are they just to be visually inspected?

They would be able to recheck the performance of the brakes this is to ensure the in-service requirements are met.
