I have just had my car written off by the insurance company and have just bought 12 moths rego and haven't even put it on the vehicle. I have deregistered that car and have kept my personalised plates. I have just bought another car. What do I need to do to put my p/plates on the new car? Do I just fit the plates and the new rego label or do I have to fill out a form? If so, can I print it off the computer?

Hi there,
To change to personalised plates, you will need to visit a licensing centre or take the car to a testing station and surrender the old plates and show the new, and then they will print out a new rego label for the car window. There will be a form to fill at the site. https://locations.aa.co.nz/search/vehicle-licensing
