Hi Jack :-)
Ive been trying to get an idea of what a 1993 Mercedes Benz 300E-24 with over 200,000km on the clock goes for as Im thinking of buying one down the road. Its in good physical nick - however the windows seem to have a tendency to go up and down of their own accord, the aerial wont go up and the radio likes to switch itself off for no apparent reason. Does this car have any particular problems that are common to this model?

The problems you have commented on already should be enough to create doubts about this being a good buy or not?

Electrical problems are not uncommon full stop, but at over 200K it is simply high risk bumper to bumper.

A very rough guide (sight unseen) for a vehicle like this in average condition and complete with a new WoF, would be around $5K tops.
