I'm looking at buying a second hand 4 wheel drive. Which in your opinion is best out of the Kia Sportage, Mazda Demio, Honda CRV or Rav 4? In order of best to worst?

Thank you.

My first reaction was to eliminate the Demio simply because I don't think it fits the same profile as the other vehicles on your list.

Its very much a mini people mover type vehicle, has a smaller engine and was never manufactured as a 4WD as far as I know.

The others would depend very much on the age bracket you are looking at.

Early model CRV's (mid 90's) fitted with automatic transmissions can be a bit risky, while the Kia product has advanced so far in the last few years in comparison to the earlier versions. The Toyota brand in general has for many years enjoyed a long reputation for reliability.

Assume nothing however, a proven service and repair history and number of owners for example can make a big difference in ones buying decision.

Don't forget to get a vehicle inspection whatever your choice.
