Holden are unable to give a date when then can supply a diesel version because the factory making the ECUs in Japan was destroyed. Will they be making the cars and storing them outside in all weathers and then retro fitting the ECUs when they finally get them ?

Seems like you are getting mixed messages on the reasons for lack of vehicles.

Maybe you should check with another Holden Dealer and check their stock levels if you are keen to purchase.

Captiva diesels are being produced and are available from Holden dealers today. While high demand has caused some short term availability issues, shipments of Captiva diesels continue each month - so no they are not built and left out in the weather they are built and put on the ship.
