Hello, my car battery was flat (I left the interior light on) and after jump starting I was advised that driving the car would not adequately re charge the battery, and nor would my (old) trickle charger work.
Battery 2544 Calcium. I am not sure what best to do. Will the battery just go flat sometime? How can I know when to replace the battery. What measurements should I get done? Many thanks! Rowan

Hi Rowan,
Older home chargers and vehicle charging systems are not able to charge a calcium battery to 100% and so the battery would never reach full capacity, which could reduce longevity.
It may be best to buy a smart charger, have the battery charged by a shop, or just keep an eye on how the car starts, and have the battery tested/ replaced if it starts to get sluggish.
