I drive a 16 year old Mercedes-Benz S Class with an airMATIC suspension system. Recently when my car left the WOF testing bay and was driven back round to the front of the testing station for collection, the front of the car was nearly touching the ground, and the warning lights were on saying “Car too low, Stop”. This has never happened before, and it was as if all the air had been drained out of the system. It is quite a shock to hand over a perceived perfectly good car, and get it back 20 minutes later virtually undriveable. Is something done during the test that could affect the suspension system in this way?

Hi there,
The system might need a reset after being raised on a hoist, you may need to see a European vehicle specialist for this procedure.
