Hi, what type of autorepair shop do I take my car to get both the passenger and drivers door locks repaired, as well as a new drivers door handle? I need to get it done on insurance too. My car is an import so I'm hoping to be able to take it somewhere that has parts or will source second hand rather than wait for 3 weeks fro new parts from Japan. Does any standard auto repair shop do this? Thanks?

If you want the repair covered under your insurance policy then I suggest you make contact with your insurance company first. They may want you to take the car the a assessing centre or to a repairer of their choice for inspection.

Regardless of whether the work is accepted by your insurance company or not, I suspect second-hand parts (if available) would be the most cost effective option.

A general repairer should be able to handle this type of work.
