I have a 2007 CVT 1.8ltr Corolla Axio Luxel (2ZR-FE engine), the oil im using now is castrol 10w30. I keep hearing that the recommended oil for this car is 5w30. Which is right and safest for the engine? I dont have a manual to confirm this and if i search online its all in japanese

I'm thinking to keep 10w30 this summer and switch to 5w30 in winter for cold start

Hi there,
The Castrol website lists as being able to use either of these oils for a 2007 Corolla with the 2ZR-FE engine. http://www.datateck.com.au/lube/CastrolRetailNzl/default.asp
