I have a 2001 Mazda roadster and am wanting to find out if it has a cam belt or a drive chain.
Carjam says the car's model number is NC92 AAE, and under its bonnet it says model # NB 18J.
Are you able to help?

Hi there, we just spoke in the phone. :-)
A 2001 MX5 has model code NB till 2005 where it changed to NC.
The 1,800cc engine used has the code BP and is driven by a belt, which would have a replacement interval of around 5-years or 100,000kms which ever comes first.
