Hi, I would like to know if the Golf tsi 1.4 2009 has any common issues and if it would be a good buy?
Also does he use Cambelt or Chain?

I just bought a 2007 Mk5 1.4 TSI with a stretched timing chain as a broken project, mine is the higher spec 118kw one turbo supercharged dsg gearbox. I also heard the 90kw one with the similar engine has a tendency to damage pistons and have gearbox issues. So in short, they go well but are known for a few issues. I'm not sure about the mk6 if things improved.
