I am just wondering when buying brand new tyres from a tyre shop how old they should be max based on DOT before they are considered too old here in NZ?
E.g. would 14 months old but never used be the max before I ask them to install something newer?
I'm not aware of any such age limit, because we don't manufacture them here(just like new tyres on new cars) - there will always be a gap in manufacture date and when we receive them. The seller still has to abide by the CGA (conditions apply) and the guarantee of acceptable quality of any goods they sell, a date since manufacture does not necessarily affect this.
