Hi, had a recent service on audi A4 cabrio 3.2 multi 2006,and have oil leak onto exhaust.
They said possible cam cover gasket fault.
They did a check and scan car, check stored faults and said possible cylinder 5 injector fault(car running rough at idle)
My first question is do the aa do repair work for these problems at their service centres?
Also if the cam cover gasket was replaced would you carry out the work on possible cylinder 5 injector fault at the same time? to possibly save labour costs?
Would fixing the gasket possibly fix the idle problem?
Could you possibly use an injector cleaner first?
Thank you, confused as to what to do because of the cost involved.

Hi there,
It would make sense to access the injectors as the top of the engine would require a lot of component removal in order to replace the rocker/cam cover gaskets of which there are two as the engine is a v6. You can by all means try injector cleaner, but the success rate is not that high especially if the injector is faulty/worn and not just dirty. It may be best for a workshop who has seen the vehicle to correctly provide a replacement quote/estimate.
