Both cam sensors have been replaced by the previous owner, I have just purchased the vehicle and this is still happening, any suggestions on what the cause may be? will be going to a mechanic Monday to get the scanner on it

Hi there,
It could be a cam chain issue and not the sensor? A common issue where the sensor is reading that the cam and crank are misaligned due to a chain issue and the first thing a repairer does is to replace the sensor and hope that is the fault. I think further investigation is warranted before another sensor is replaced- the cam timing will need to be checked to rule out that expensive fault first.
