I have a Honda City that burns a bit of oil.

What can I do to reduce the amount of smoke out of the exhaust - to keep it going for another couple of years - and get it passed the warrant conditions - before it completely dies??

You could try a heavy grade of engine oil (20 - 50?). Apart from that there's not much you can do without stripping the engine down.

Sounds like that would cost way more than the cars total value.

A couple more years sounds a little hopeful as well.
