Hi, I have 1994 Mitsubishi Galant EXE which was leaking substantial amounts of oil. My mechanic washed the engine down & ascertained it was a cracked head. He repaired this and also changed the cam belt (it was due in another 15,000ks's) did a warrent and charged me 1500. Is this a reasonable price - given that this is a labour intensive job?? Lisa

This sounds to be a very reasonable price. It is a big job, involving a lot of labour, plus of course the cost of the replacement of (or repair to) the cylinder head.
