I have a few odd things that I would like to get fixed up on my Bighorn i.e. the drivers seat spring has come loose, the XS badge has been vandelised (snapped in half byt someone) and there are a few missing bolts throughout the interior of the car. I would like to give it the attention it deserves to keep it looking nice given it's age but have been unable to find someone who would easily be able to find such parts. Any advice on who I should contact in the Waikato area? I can't find a specialist repairer ( I assume given the age of the vehicle). Will I just have to make do with "close enough" parts and go through a normal mechanic?

Your normal mechanic will be able to track down the parts you need - most likely through a specialist Isuzu or 4x4 wrecker. I can understand why you want to make sure the vehicle gets the right parts and not just something that's close, so make it known to your garage that you want the right parts. It may cost a little more (and be prepared to pay a little for your garage to do the legwork in tracking the parts down), but in the end you will get a better job done.
