Hi,
I have a 1995 Nissan Pulsar Hatch. It is an automatic.
What is the Temp sender and what does it do?
My car will go for a few mintues and then stop and won't start again for about 10 minutes.

The temperature sender is the device that the temperature gauge gets its reading from. There are other sensors which control the engine management system (including temperature sensor) which could be causing your problem. Without knowing a bit more and what has been diagnosed, it's a little difficult to know what the problem might be.
