Looking to buy family car. The best I've seen so far is a Mitsubishi Grandis Chariot, 2000, only 66000kms on the clock, 7 seats, for $9000. However I've heard that Mitsubishi's are unreliable, any thoughts?

It's not quite right to say that Mitsubishis are unreliable - they have produced some very good vehicles over the yeras. However, the Grandis Chariot from this era is perhaps not one of the better ones.
A close competitor of the Chariot was the Toyota Ipsum, which enjoys a better reputation for reliability and is also available in 7 seat configuration. The Ipsum is perhaps a better option.
