I have 2 areas which I need advice on :

1. what should the correct pressure be on my tyres. My car is a VW Polo, year 2000, 1.6cc. Tyre size is 185-55-14.

2. I find that my car's steering wheel is now pointing at 5 deg. off centre i.e to the left when I'm drivining in a straight line. It was not functioning like this 2 months ago.

My tyre pressures have been recently done up at 30 psi and I'm travelling on the same roads. What do you could have gone wrong or what needs to be done?

Appreciate your advice.

I don't believe its a tyre pressure problem.

If a steering wheel moves out of its central position its normally a sign the wheels or suspension have had some sort of impact causing the steering geometry to alter.

You need to get the wheel alignment checked. Try and find a wheel alignment specialist to carry out this work if you can.

Important to get it sorted as soon as possible.

The tyre pressures look OK.
